Using the page marker post-it's

Today we discussed how good readers are self-monitors. They used sticky notes during independent reading to mark things that were important, they had questions about or that they wanted to share. They also wrote in their "Me" books about their summer and shared with a partner.

P.I.E. writing

We reviewed P.I.E. today with playdoh. The students created something with it and then had to write about it. They had to either persuade, inform or entertain their audience.

Welcome to Mrs. Wilson's Third Grade Classroom. This year begins my 8th year of teaching. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in elementary education /special education. I have been home the past few years raising our children and I'm excited to be back in the classroom. I look forward to getting to know your child this year and being a part of the Carroll Elementary family.
