Rachel Delevoryas

Today we listened to a song titled, "Rachel Delevoryas" during Reading. The students listened for changes the character experienced as well as the changes in the relationships she had with her peers. I heard so many good conversations at their table groups about this song. Afterwards, the students drew what they thought Rachel looked like as a child and as a adult. They also wrote how they thought Rachel felt during each stage of her life.

Mr. Hornback and his son, Will, talked about how the American Heart Association helps people. Our superintendent, Dr. Lyons, made an appearance as well.

Determining Importance

Ask your child how the contents of my purse connected to their reading today. :)
